People’s Choice Brewery Competition: sample beers and vote for your favorite (12pm - 4pm). Participating breweries include Santa Fe Brewing Co, Eske's Brew Pub, and 10th & Blake.

Oktoberfest "Mega Mustache" Pub Crawl : NEW THIS YEAR! This themed pub crawl takes you on a tour of some of Red iver’s favorite watering holes. Each bar will feature a special beer, and food specials will be available at designated participating locations. Meet in Brandenburg Park at 5pm for your first beer then take off on your own or in a group to these locations: Black Diamond Grill, Capo’s Corner, Yesterday’s Diner, Timbers Restaurant, Mountain Treasures Bistro, Lost Love Saloon, and the Bull o’ the Woods Saloon. Everything is within walking distance of the park and the trolley will run extended hours if you need a ride back to your lodge.

College Day: Wear your team colors for a chance to win a ski trip back to Red River this winter! For each piece of NCAA apparel you sport you’ll receive one entry into the raffle. There will also be themed contests where you can compete on behalf of your favorite team!

Live music from the Polka Schnapps

Miss Oktoberfest Competition : Ladies, get out your loveliest Oktoberfest outfit or dirndl and come compete for $100 in Chamber of Commerce gift certificates (can be used at any Chamber member in Red River), a tiara and sash, and bragging rights. The competition includes a stein holding competition and obstacle course and starts at 1pm Saturday. Glück (good luck)! 

Stein Holding and Brat Eating Contests

Keg Karry: Contestants attempt to prove their strength by carrying full kegs from Brandenburg Park to the Bull o' the Woods Saloon. Ladies are also invited to compete this year with pony kegs. Another fabulous way to win cash and great prizes! Everyone is invited to a bratwurst buffet at the Bull o' the Woods after the Keg Karry is over (free for participants or $5 for spectators). Interested in entering? Look for the Chamber of Commerce booth in the park for information.


Ski Trip Giveaway for Four from Best Western River's Edge, Red River Ski Area, and Capo's Corner

Contests, contests, and more contests: Stein holding, chicken dance, yodeling, brat eating and more! For each contest you participate in you’ll receive entry into another raffle for a ski trip back to Red River. Contests are scheduled every hour from 11:30 - 2:30 so you’ll have plenty of chances to enter.

Live music from the Red River Schnitzels (so they may not be “authentic” but they sure are fun)
